Exploring the 2nd dimension: A week of drawing, painting, printmaking, and collage

There are so many ways to go about making a drawing or painting. Get ready to draw with an eraser, dip a stick in ink, and layer marks in charcoal and chalk. We’ll go over color-mixing, draw with paint, look at how artists build a painting, and try different underpainting colors. We’ll learn some fun printmaking techniques, and experiment with collage. At times we’ll work from observation, but we’ll also explore working from invention, and abstraction. Join us as we explore the second dimension!

Sessions 1 and 2 will NOT be a repeat of each other. Though the focus for both sessions will remain on exploring the 2nd dimension.

Monday-Thursday, July 18-21, 930AM-230PM + Friday, July 22 930AM -1230PM
