Braiding Circles

Braiding circles is a community gathering workshop focused on braiding a three-strand braid from synthetic hair while conversing about fractured identity, experiences, and belonging. It started as a way to create more braids for my larger sculptures but turned into a place for honest and open conversation. The circles came about through the need to create a space for open community conversation and the need to work toward the goal of communal healing through storytelling and braiding.
