With this class, my goal is to have each of you gain confidence in your artistic endeavors and fall in love with watercolor painting. Although I paint both in watercolor and oils, my first love is watercolor. We will start our class by learning the basics of handling watercolor through a variety of exercises designed to teach you about pigment to water ratios. We will learn about our materials so we understand the process of painting in watercolor. Later we will go on to brush control, color mixing, values and much more. There will be exercises, demos, paint-alongs and individual painting time. Please do not worry if you have no art experience, either in watercolor painting or drawing. It will not be a problem, everyone can create. Deena S.Ball has been teaching for over thirty years, all ages and in a variety of settings from middle school to adult retreats. A suggested materials list will be provided by the instructor.
